Plexamp Windows 3.0 desktop not updating display at screen wake

On the windows machine (plexamp 3.4.0) when the screen goes to sleep… go roll the mouse to wake up, The plexamp display does not update, except for some MM:SS updating going on… the cover art and artist info displayed is completely wrong for the music currently playing until I purposely click around on something.

Slightly annoying, but sometimes I like to go kick the mouse to see what the tune playing is and it’s an extra step and kinda fugly to boot. Let me know if you want me to upload a picture showing what I mean, but this is pretty easy to reproduce.

Now if there were a screensaver mode showing a ‘now playing’ while plexamp is active and the screen does its sleep thing that would be very cool.

sorry if this has been covered. I have been recently building a new windows desktop after studiously avoiding microsoft products for decades.

thanks for reading

UPDATE: note this behavior is only for when the currently playing track has advanced between sleep → wake interval.

hmm, not sure i’ve heard this one before. under the hood it’s chrome, so it’s likely that something is breaking the rendering while the screen is sleeping.

sorry to give you a reason to continue doing so :grimacing:

Oh no, I’m not getting back into windows for this specifically but I do need it to run plex music for the duration.

Anyway I’ll attach a picture so you can see what I’m talking about. The cover art and other info is from a previous song which I assume was playing at the time the screen went sleeping.

thanks again for being responsive, this is great

Update: just to add. the time scroll in the middle remains active.. I assume what’s going on is each song is refreshing that area only without doing the full frame. As soon as I click anything anywhere on the screen it all refreshes and looks good.

it points to some sort of interaction between the embedded chrome and Windows. could even be graphics driver related, as i haven’t heard of this issue before.
