Plexamp - WMA2 shows as 'Opus' on macOS client and won't play

Shows as Opus when using Plexamp 3.4.5 when using macOS client and just hangs rather than plays on any track I’ve got in WMA format. All have no DRM, and plays fine using iOS client on the same Mac. On Big Sur 11.3.1 Mac mini M1. Also plays fine in macOS Plex client on the same Mac. Missing a component or a transcode instruction?

macOS Plex client will likely play WMA2 directly.

Plexamp requires conversion. Does the same track play in the web app, e.g?

Yes, plays in the web app and the plex app and the iOS plexamp app. Only on the macOS app does it identify as ‘opus’ rather than WMA and doesn’t play. This is not a specific track, but loads.
