Hi All,
I think the idea of Plexamp is great but when I initially installed it, it would open, connect to my server, show songs and look like it would play but then error out. I thought it was specific to my computer (firewall, a/v, GPO, etc) so I gave up. I decided to give it a go again and discovered that it works on a different machine fine. Then I tested with my laptop at home and it worked. Brought it into the office and it fails. Checking the local logs I see the following lines:

I decided to plug in regular headphones to the builtin audio jack and BOOM it works. It seems to fail when using my Plantronics Savi headset (which is USB). My other Plantronics at home works fine on the same machine.
Any ideas why this specific audio device fails? Thanks!!
@cyberweasel Platform info would be great, if macOS a screenshot of the Audio MIDI Setup app with the device selected, or if Windows the advanced audio settings for the device. The issue seems to be we can’t read the sample rate that’s set for the device, which is likely a bug in our sound driver library.
Yes it is, but that’s a perk of working for a partner of theirs
The OS is Windows 10 Enterprise Version 160 (OS Build 14393.2068).
Of course my headset is at the office. I will get the advanced audio settings when I get back to work. Anything I can provide while the headset is not plugged in?
renamed existing mpd.exe to mpd.exe.old. copied the new mpd.exe to that folder. Started it up. no output. here everything in the log file from today since I made that change.

On Windows 10, I found the logs in the application directory - C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\Programs\plexamp
This should work too: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Programs\plexamp
I followed the steps and I hear music from Plexamp now!! I even went back after and change the audio setting back to the higher one and it still is working! I think I remember another option originally that wasn’t there when I went back but as long as it works! We’ll see if a reboot or anything else breaks it again but for now I am good!
I received a new laptop at work and had the same problems (same headset) but I can confirm that the changes listed above resolved the issue again and I am able to use Plexamp after making the change!
