I know we can set up Plexconnect so that a DNS service like Unblockus still allows the ATV to get around geoblocking on the native ATV Netflix app, for example.
My question is whether or not we can have Plexconnect, itself, go through the Unblockus DNS as well as I think this might be necessary for Canadians like myself to use geoblocked Plex Channels like Hulu and others.
I guess I am asking if I am correct here and then, if I am, what set up would be necessary to get have Plexconnect connect to geoblocked channels.
Channels are streamed to PlexConnect from the PMS, so in terms of channels it is the PMS that needs to get 'unblocked' and not PlexConnect itself.
If you are using PMS channels or playing geo-locked content on your PC/Mac then you need to take the appropriate measures for it, i.e. set the correct DNS servers on there or your router as well (this is the same for any other Plex client).

This really depends on the way the content is being streamed. If the video is compatible with the client and Direct Play is enabled it's the client that will request the file. If transcoding or Direct Stream is required it's the Plex Media Server that requests the stream, does the transcoding or copies the streams and sends it out to the client.
