Ya, I didnt think of that, I dont think it will work but I will give it a try
One more question, you are using the plexconnect app to view myplex right, not trailers, while at your parents house?
yeah.. trailers is working as it should :)
Awsome, I will test out some stuff and let you know the results!
Alright i tested like 20 diffrent ways and locations, cant get it to work⦠Lemme know if u have any luck
I was able to get the png files hosted on the atv so the bag.plist points at them, thats about it.
Where did u put em and what dis u type in the pbag to point to it?
I put them in the root of the atv as in the / root dir
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">

Same coding as i was using⦠This is so retarded⦠Why the hell cant the atv pick up the bag list from there when it obviously can pick up the png files⦠Am so confused
Its goes back to the old if a browser can see it the atv can. If not no dice as far as I can tell.
Yeah but u should be able to se the png file just as much as it can se the bag list⦠Here is where i get confused
Well think of it like this addsite is a bit different. Addsite looks for a http or https that it can see on a webserver. The atv has no actual webserver, so if u browse to your atv on a web browser say http://192.168.1.101/bag.plist it should pop. The addsite profile function I belive goes over the net to grab what it needs not locally. If the atv had a webserver opened up this wouldnt be an issue and may be resolved. Google it, webserver ios devcie or something mypaybe there is a way i dont know.
Im working on getting plexconnect to work on a jailbroken iphone at the moment
But cause we are not using addsite but the extrainternet files it should be able to pick up the files⦠Beats me
Its different, its used for 3rd party vendors to test apps over http https.
Thats kinda what am trying to say
therfore it should work
Yes if there was a actual websever
like on osx
This is why we need f00b to tell us how to host thr bag file on the built in webserver
Well its not that easy, they would need to re-write the code I imagine.
Or skip the webserver part altogether if it is possible.....
Btw in terms of running PlexConnect on a jailbroken iphone you can either try running it direct or there are tools to convert Python to native iOS apps - it would be interesting to see if they work well. It would also allow you to take an (old) iphone to use for PlexConnect if travelling with an ATV3.
Its possible⦠As long as you have a webserver at home that host ur baglistā¦
Am happy enought cause now i only have a baglist on the webserver and nothing else, wich means no one can se my certs or anything else
The reason we chase the webserver option on the atv is just to get it all on the same place⦠But its really not nessacary
