What does the log say when you start it via SSH?
Do you see a line like "bad setting ..."? I added some stuff to validate the given settings using RegEx. Now that you are talking about it, I wonder if a specific expression doesn't fit...

I am experiencing the same thing with latest git.
If i delete Settings.cfg it gets recreated as expected but with hosttointercept = trailers.apple.com
I havent updated to the latest commit but if you look at my post 127 it has the proper settings.cfg also 128 has the proper hosts file that I always use without fail.

You miss the point that line always reverts so you can't set it to localhost. Easy to reproduce just update to latest git. Worked before update.
and by the way I did copy your settings file to =)
Ok if I revert to commit
Then that line does not revert to hosttointercept = trailers.apple.com on every restart of plexconnect or reboot of atv.
so it broke somwhere between that and latest commit.
Here we have it -->

And Baa actually had already thought about that =)
I assume it’s the new commit from your log. I assume you set your DNS to auto and use the new button to access plexconnect.
Curious is you settings.cfg like this?
hosttointercept=localhost
When it should be:
hosttointercept = localhost
hmm.. that trick worked for me aswell.. but what has what has happend :( it was working so good :(.. and with that trick its wery slow.. i changed the adress on the baglist aswell.. only thinh that worked.. changed from 127.0.0.1 to localhost

No it is not the new commit . It is the commit that introduces the regexp checks that brakes stuff. I am pretty sure iBaa can fix it as soon as he see's it.

Just wait for for a new commit that fixes the regexp or in your plexconnect folder on your computer do
git checkout 0db97f782a32008ce045e016c8eae5abce14f90c
that is the latest commit before the regexp chek.
then upload it again to the atv.
git checkout 0db97f782a32008ce045e016c8eae5abce14f90c
yes that commit worked for me aswell :D thank u sir! :rolleyes: :D
You are able to git pull on your appletv? Please explain how you did this from start to finish. When I tried to git pull it would fail for me, I would like to update on the appletv instead of uploading the new code via sftp everytime
I tried to this and it wouldn’t work:
sudo su
cd /Applications
git clone https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect.git
When cloning use git:// insteed of https:// not sure if it that is all. Did a lot of pokeing with git before this.
Fixed.
RegEx for HostToIntercept was to stringent. "localhost" obviously doesn't contain a DOT.
Will there be a fixed for this or do we stay on the old pull?
As Baa says it should be fixed you can probably upgrade to latest git. I have not tried it yet. Ice hockey on the atv at the moment.

ye dident se it from the phone browser :D will try it sson :)
I tried everything again with a new copy of PlexConnect from Baa's github and followed the steps of wahlman.j's post 127 and now everything's working! thanks!
hmm weird.. i cant get the new version to work.. the config stays as i want but i only get Plex unavalible :( but as soon as i go back to the other commit it works right away :huh:

On your atv do tail -f PlexConnect.log in the PlexConnect folder.
Grottan:/Applications/PlexConnect root# tail -f PlexConnect.log
What does it say there while you are trying to access PlexConnect on the atv?
ohh never mind i i found the problem :D .. works now.. yay :D
