This happened to me when using Plexify but it also happens when just using normally from terminal. When it happens nothing shows in the log and i can not access the app that it's hijacks but i can use other apps (Like movies app for axample (With the app that it hijacks it's just accessing "appname" endlessly)). It was the same with Plexify and it happens now too. It's not the first time, i waited and updated many time and it kept hapenning (Wanted to make sure that it's a problem with PlexConnect and not with me). So right now i am using the one from a week ago, something like that .. As you understood running from mac. If i'm running from mac could run from PlexConnect.py in terminal and not the daemon can cause this?
I am really frustrated, please help.
Thanks so much guys
LOG ATTACHED
I am hijacking imovie trailers ..
PLUS when shutting down it's writing:
PlexConnect: shutting down.
Webserver:shutting down
dnsserver:shutting down
There is NO shutdown in the end.
Of course after the non succesful shut down i can't turn it on again-webserver not alive-restart for computer needed.
Sometimes my AppleTV3 is a little flaky and takes a while to respond, especially to PlexConnect. I just restart the AppleTV via the settings menu and the issues are resolved.
I want to say a huge thanks to wahlman. He went in via teamviewer and installed the openconnect and webconnect :)
It's really amazing! I can control plexconnect via any device!
We should all thank him not just for openconnect but for all the great things he does in this forum including openconnect! ;)
There's a good reason baa loves you so much ;) ;)
He did no nonsense i did not afraid to go try atv while i can't see what's he doing. He is really here to help and doing the community better which he is successful at!
Thanks wahlman!!!
Solved bad bridging router. Installed open connect and everything works perfect.
It's actually wasn't the problem cause it did not work from other atv that connects to the main router but it's all good now ;)
>>a little flaky and takes a while to respond, especially to PlexConnect.
You you please explain that in more detail?
Basically it just sits with the spinning icon like it's loading. I'll click on the trailers app and it will just hang loading. It's not just PlexConnect that does it, but Netflix too sometimes (although seems this hangs when it's just loading a stream, PlexConnect hangs when opening trailers. If I'm being impatient it's usually quicker for me to just restart the ATV3 than just wait it out. Once I've restarted the ATV3 clicking on trailers loads instantly and my library is there. I pull the latest changes from git several times a week so I've got the latest PlexConnect.
Strange I experienced this today also only within a few hours of a fresh restore. Only resetting OSX fixed the issue then everything worked fine. I thought maybe it was something with implementing automatic updates into the aTV and OSX via launchctl but then I forced updates via the aTV and OSX via launchctl and it worked fine reloading the plists on both OSX and the ATV. Tomer had the issue before using OpenConnect so I don’t see that being the culprit just trying to rule everything out. What OS is everyone running? I know me and tomer are on OSX, what about you @Aaron p? I use the aTV jailbreak to host plexconnect on the atv2 and also hijack iMovie from a OSX plexconnect Host so I can use the plexconnect icon and and iMovie icon to view plexconnect so I can switch my plex users by just switching apps until fast user switching is implement on the roadmap. Strangest thing was it seemed to crash all existing apps also except xbmc and computers since they do not use bag.plists I assume. I though maybe. It was since I did a fresh restore recently on this aTV but everything worked perfectly until I gave my aTV a break for a about 6hours give or take, fired it back up then experienced spinning icons on all bag.plist (apps). Mine was not a few days but only a few a hours. I will test a bit further and see what I can come up with if it’s a standby issue or something. Never seen anything like it before maybe it was just a fluke. I never had this issue before and the only thing I can think is it being this new plist or a new commit it’s just strange it’s almost every app on the aTV. I will let it run for a few days and if it happens again, if It does will remove this auto update plists. If that doesn’t do it I would imagine it’s a new commit or change with the Apple TV from a new apple injected storefront bag.plist change or something else I’m not sure of. I will update in the future on what I find out ASAP.

I was on 10.9.1 then. Can't really check how it is right now for days cause i'm having problems with the hackintosh (Processor decicded to get too hot when doing nothing and close the computer after 30min-3hrs since computer is up .. :( )
