I am running plex on my Synology 1019+, all programs are up to date. I can’t figure out how to install a .plexmatch file. Even using vi to create the file, but can’t get the file in the correct location.
If you’re on a command shell, you should be able to use the mv command to move the file.
That being said, you’ll probably find it easier to create your matching hint file as a regular text file in the right directory. After editing it, simply rename it to .plexmatch — if you’re on a Linux desktop, this should be fairly straightforward; if you’re on the shell, mv will do the same.
I figured it out finally out, created the file on desktop then used File station to move plexmatch to the correct directory. then just rename the file. Thanks for the advice.
