PlexPhotos - Missing Features Coming from Old Plex App for iOS

Color me disappointed for having to download a separate app to view photos now.

In Plex Photos app for iOS (v0.3.0) I don’t have any of the features that I heavily used in the old Plex app prior to the new experience that released recently.

Namely, I can’t cast photos to Chromecast from the app anymore (or other streaming options) and there’s no slideshow mode with a shuffle option.

Are these features coming soon? If so, will the Chromecast stuff still work on older TVs? ( just sadly found out that the new Plex app doesn’t work with my old TV anymore for casting)

2026 - the year they fired more developers leaving us with a slew of broken clients and updates coming out even slower.

I’m happy to read this info in the email I just got:
