plexWatch/Web - A web front-end for plexWatch

The first time you launch plexWatch/Web you should have seen a welcome modal and a simple requirements checklist.Afterward it displays the settings page where you should definitely see all available settings.

It sounds like files may be corrupt so I would start by deleting all files from the web server, re-download the zip file from github, extract and re-transfer.

It’s also worth checking your web server’s error log to see if anything is logged when navigating to the plexWatch/Web page.

SO just tried that and kept getting couldnt read /config/config.php

I chmod -R 777 plexWatchWeb/ and the error went away however it was the same results.

In my apache sites-available config I have:

        ServerAdmin webmaster@localhost
    DocumentRoot /var/www/plexWatchWeb
    <Directory />
            Options FollowSymLinks
            AllowOverride None
    </Directory>
    <Directory /var/www/plexWatchWeb>
            Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews
            AllowOverride All
            Order allow,deny
            allow from all
    </Directory>

So when I am trying to access plexWatchWeb I just go to

http://192.168.1.99:9992

Could this be part of the cause?

Also I noticed that the plexWatchWeb.db file is not being generated...

Little video showing what I have done: http://www.screenr.com/embed/dc3H

.... Also I noticed that the plexWatchWeb.db file is not being generated...

Sorry, did not watch the video, but this caught my eye. Are you referring to plexWatch.db? Did you first install plexWatch and get that going? A requirement of the plexWatch/Web (frontend) is plexWatch (backend).

guessing ubuntu?

 sudo apt-get install libjson-perl

If you are having any trouble with that install, head over to the plexWatch thread and paste your full errors.

Between plexWatch (thank you ljunkie - plus thanks for the great RARflix!) and plexWatchWeb - I couldn't be happier! These tools just work and their "customer support" is amazing!

I am proud to support both and would love to encourage anyone else who uses these to show their appreciation as well! Donating is SO easy!

Donation sent eleese!  Thank you!

Hi, Firstly my sincere thanks for this beautiful way of seeing my plex stats :)

I've had success for the most part in getting this up and running, with one little issue I'm hoping someone may be able to help me resolve.

In each of the pages I am getting a similar warning message displayed:

Home

Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /Library/WebServer/Documents/plexWatch/index.php:64) in /Library/WebServer/Documents/plexWatch/includes/functions.php on line 4

Settings

Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /Library/WebServer/Documents/plexWatch/settings.php:75) in /Library/WebServer/Documents/plexWatch/includes/functions.php on line 4

Other than the message the pages are displaying fine with lots of cool stats, history, etc.

I have no idea what the message is telling me or how to go about resolving it :(

My Setup:

MAC OS X 10.9 (Mavericks)

Plex media server Version 0.9.8.13.235

plexWatch/Web Version: v1.4.0
plexWatch Version: v0.1.7

I am using the webserver and php that come builtin with Mavericks.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers,
Shane.

I'm not a big MAC user but I was able to replicate the problem using both Maverick's built in web server and MAMP. When I get some time I will dig a little deeper for a solution for these web servers as I noticed a couple other oddities too.

In the meantime I would recommend XAMPP. I downloaded, installed and was up and running perfectly in less than 5 minutes.

There are also some notes for XAMPP users on the plexWatch/Web wiki you should read over.

I was getting those errors in an older version of XAMPP...among other issues. I had to switched over to a Synology DS to get it working. At this time I can't recommend Mac OS X 10.9. You may have better luck.

It’s just an innocuous warning. It can be fixed in a new version, but it can also be ignored for now by including ini_set(“display_errors”, 0) in the functions.php file (maybe another) or turn off display errors in the php.ini

Anyone have any idea why im seeing ipad plays like every minute while the user is still watching it? It seems to be in watch history every minute.

The plexWatch/Web history data is all pulled from your plexWatch database.

  • Are you receiving plexWatch notifications every minute too?
  • Do the same results appear when you run a plexWatch.pl --watched command?
  • Is the iPad buffering, stopping and then resuming?
  • What versions of plexWatch and /Web are you using?

First, Huge Kudos to OP on this.  I absolutely love it.

Installed PlexWatch (backend) just so I could enjoy this one!!

http://plex.bd.to  (My installation of this)

Only question I have is this....the recently added section seems to be missing quite a bit.  For instance, Yesterday I added about 20 new videos to my Plex server.  In my.plexapp.com it shows those added, however in plexWatch I don't see them.

Also....does anyone have DD-WRT on their home router and pulling Bandwidth reports from their router to display on the plexWatch page?

Would be an interesting add-in to be able to see bandwidth reports through plexWatch/Web.

Thanks,

Carl

Not sure about why you are getting your recently added, but your second question sounds like a merger of plexWatchWeb and NetworkStatusPage - cool idea!

The recently added section on the plexWatch/Web homepage is currently scripted to display the newest number of newly added content. This value is based on how wide your browser window is divided by the width of one item. You should see your newest added content up to that value.

I will reply later on your other question.

- No im not receiving notifications every minute

- No when i run plexwatch.pl --watched i dont see it that many times

- No its not buffering, stopping and resuming

- Latest from git :)

Is there a way to clean specific movies/shows from the top10 list?

Do you have "grouping" enabled in the settings of plexWeb/Watch interface?

Can anyone give me a hand with the email alerts on OS X. I would like recently added to email me automatically. I set it up with gmail, proper ports and auth. The email never gets sent out. Is there extra cpan addons I need to install? I installed the mime one.

Thank you!

Looks like we missed your question on the plexWatch forum. Send me your config.pl and I will verify it works. You can remove passwords, but leave the rest in tact. I want to see the email config.
