If it is an error from the apple add-on trying to connect to Kodi, have you followed this?

Sorry if this is a big yes coupled with “for goodness sake”, I’m just trying to help.

If I want to open the addon via the Kodi app PM4K.
Super minor bug report: It seems like the “Play All” and “Shuffle All” buttons at the top of a library view are not working (perhaps specifically when in a “Folders” view, I haven’t tested enough yet). Pressing it briefly shows “…” but doesn’t play anything. This is in the current thread beta.
I don’t get it.
Noted, thanks for reporting!
Definitely not minor! I want the next version of PM4K to be existing-feature stable, so I can finally focus on new things. This is very important ![]()
Another bug report. This seems to have started somewhere between 0.7.9-beta-4.1 and 0.7.9-beta-5.2. I don’t recall having the issue in beta-4.1 and I didn’t use beta-5 or beta-5.1.
Sometimes when entering a TvShow I can’t play any episodes, but if I back out and go into the TvShow again episodes play fine.
There’s no entries \ reactions in the log at all when trying to play an episode.
There also seems to be an issue after exiting the addon and starting the addon again I get a connection error and the home hub doesn’t load, when this happens if I navigate to a Library they load fine, but the home hub doesn’t load until I think a refresh is triggered. Again there’s no errors that I’ve found in the log when this happens.
Probably the theme music fix. Hard to tell without a debug log, though. I’ll get back to you. Maybe I can find some edge cases.
I’ve seen this as well. Its as if the remote is dead and pm4k isnt responding to key presses to play.
Anyone else having issues with seeking? When I seek sometimes there is a couple of seconds where the video is playing but there is no audio. Sometimes it can last up to 15 seconds before the audio starts playing but it’s usually only a couple of seconds. And it doesn’t happen all of the time but often enough that it usually will happen if I do 3 or 4 seeks in a row. It also can happen when resuming a movie(since that just does a seek behind the scenes). I have a Ugoos amb6+ and it seems to only happen with bit streamed audio and I see it most often with H265 files. I was able to find a workaround in the code where it calls a different seek interface on Kodi. But I don’t want to break others so I’m just trying to figure out if other people see this or not. And if you do are you using the Ugoos or some other device?
What are your theme music settings? And is that reproducible for the same TV shows?
All fine on the SHIELD and on Windows for me.
Theme music is set to default. Never altered it. It plays quietly when i go to a program to play. Hard to reproduce and seems to happen when i start a playback and almost immediately stop it and go quickly to play something else. I had some tv programs incorrectly labelled with episode numbers so i was going back and forth on them quickly to figure out their proper order and thats when i could not get them to play at all as if the remote had died. I had to back out of the tv show and exit the app and restart.
Running 2019 shield pro, kodinerds 21 build from 20240613, pm4k 0.7.9b5.2
Would post this on coreelec forum
I do get audio delay after seeking but I noticed the length of the delay has to do with the audio codec.
Usually around 5seconds before audio starts up.
Since the default Kodi player doesn’t have this issue I started here first to see if other people on different systems have similar problems. If we find that only coreelec users have this issue then we can ask them to look into it. But since it only happens in PM4K I have a feeling that the coreelec team will blame PM4K and PM4K will say it’s a coreelec problem. And we’ll get nowhere.
Not sure on that one. We’re using a Kodi internal python function to seek. They’ve been reasonable in the past with things we could be certain about weren’t PM4Ks fault.
0.7.9-beta6.1: script.plexmod.zip (2.8 MB)
Temporary Changelog:
Please check if this is fixed now.
This version has a much better implementation to fix playback issues when pressing play before the theme music has started. Should be quite solid.
Edit: Updated zip for 6.1
Feels very solid. I can’t trigger the failed playstate anymore.
Audio delay after seek is nonexistent in a few files I tested
I’ll need more info for this. At least a DEBUG-log via DM (I might be able to spot timing issues even if there’s no obvious errors)
I’m just about to install beta 6.1 to test now.
I also just reproduced this error now so will dm you the log, there is an error in the log starting with “No data - disconnected?” so that should help hopefully.
This fix is awesome! Thanks ![]()

@bowlingbeeg Would you be so kind to take it upon you to report this? I’ll help with the bug description if necessary.
