Another GUI suggestion I have is to rearrange the rotten tomatoes ratings to be AFTER the extras under movies. The Plex client on the Shield has this in what seems to be a better order (rotten tomatoes comes after movies extras and cast).
My ultimate hope is that you all enable the ability to turn off rotten tomatoes ratings all together hehehe
Iām also awaiting shipment of an Ugoos AM6B+ for proper Dolby Vision Profile 7 support. Anyone here have experience getting PlexMod for Kodi working properly on it? Any issues I should be aware of? Thanks and hope everyone is doing well!
P.S. I have made a PR for you regarding editions, seasons bar, background artā¦
You have to adjust some things probably if you decide to take it thoughā¦
I hope youāll be happy with the ugoos. CoreELEC isnāt my preferred topic right now (and unsupported by me, so youāll have to rely on the other CE users in here): Issues Ā· pannal/plex-for-kodi Ā· GitHub
Letās talk in the PR. Youāre about two days too early before the next beta and major repo push, as Iāve removed all static XML and made everything an overridable template including inheritance etc.
Iāll answer your PR once Iām done with that.
They shouldnāt be. Which device and Kodi version?
Yeah, depending on the build there can be severe differences between Kodi and CoreELEC, which is why Iām not a fan of it at the moment, as a developer (see the tickets).
downloaded from one of the subtitle providers, and with foreign subs (non english) I notice often issues where the subs go out of sync after some time, like they start correct and then after sometime they go out of sync for 5 seconds delay and then later i need to revert the changes. this is something what happens often with repacks but also because of the bad naming they provide to the subtitle providers to what the subs should match
The delay after time is because the subs are made for different framerate and are frame based and not time based.
Generally the issues with subtitles seems to be that on the service that you use they are not made correctā¦
Correct. I wrote a plugin for the PMS that fetches the correct subtitles for your releases (Sub-Zero) way back then. Itās deprecated now and Iāve provided its core for Bazarr; I recommend that.
Edit: SRT/ASS/SSA subtitles are always time based. But when they were made for a different framerate, they wonāt work.
Zero issues using the maven build of Kodi 21 Omega, on NVIDIA SHIELD.
Iām using Bazarr, and it happens mainly for TV shows and 99% of my tv shows are WEBDL so the framerate should be 99% the same between them.
My English subs donāt have this issue.
Yeah, they might also be wrongly tagged, especially on OpenSubtitles. I donāt know whether Bazarr supports framerate detection+fixing in Subtitles, Sub-Zero definitely did.
Edit: Many foreign subtitle providers donāt even store FPS
Edit 2: WEB-DLs can differ. There are non-scene groups who cut pre-intro frames, pre-intro platform logos etc, and there are different streaming platforms the sources can be from.
The people that tested the Ugoos AM6B+, use the default kodi omega and have 0 issues with HDR and/or DV. so iāve actually the feeling the issue might be related to your used device(s) or something in your setup or even your used release.
The tested media releases they used for are a mix of 4k Remuxes (For DV Profile 7 and FEL Testing), 4k Bluray Encodes (DV Profile 8) and 4k WEBDL (DV Profile 5 (the one without fallback to HDR10))
They provided the test results of different devices to a test sheet for some Radarr/Sonarr related Guide
That might be the issue, they mention itās also for the P2P releases but they are probably only for the scene releases. and indeed 99% i get from opensubtitles
Iām now testing not to sync on audio track, so it uses the original English subs to sync the subs, and it seems to work better. But letās get back on topic. Thanks for wanting to fix this small bug in the screen when wanting to sync the subs, but is there another way to access the sync subs in Kodi during playback? I use the settings => Kodi subtitle settings options to get to it.
