I’m using Coreelec nexus. installing via repo wouldn’t work for me as your repo hasn’t updated and won’t let me. i assume that’s down to github problems.
After a while I managed to find the script zip for 0.4.1 so I installed it. The addon now opens and plays video as I’d expect BUT music won’t play. The behaviour I see is exactly the same as it was on Matrix before the official version version 0.3.5 was released.
Hope this is clear and thank you for taking this on.
Every time I open Plex For Kodi with this new version for Kodi 20 on Android am keep getting a notification from Plex saying that a new device has just signed in using my account.
You’re a saviour dude. Haven’t noticed many bugs bar the skip intro icon looking weird and the audio/subtitle icons on the movie/tv info screen looking weird also. Keep up the good work!
Been using the addon for the past 24 hours on my two SHIELD. Noticed that no auto-open plex addon. And I get weird sign-ins notifications on my phone that “new device has just signed in from linux.”
Other than that, streaming-wise, flawlessly.
Hi. Thanks for this addon. I just installed the 0.4.1 version after updating to Nexus.
I was wondering if there is any possibility of adding the OTA Live TV section from Plex in the future? I can watch my recordings in Plex for Kodi but I have to switch apps to watch Live TV from my tuner and access the Guide to set recordings. Just wanted to know if it’s possible in the future or a definite no. Thanks either way.
Thanks so much for maintaining this, @panni. Everything’s working well playback-wise on my Shield (through Kodi 20), but I have to sign into Plex (via plex.tv/link with a four-digit code) every time I run the add-on, which also means that all of the settings are reset to default every time.
Strange behavior the one you comment is happening on your side, hopefully this could help you to fix that, as it isn’t happening to me (using Kodi 20 here).
Check the addon options, there’s an option named something like “auto log in” (don’t remember exactly the name).
Guess it will allow the addon to sign in automatically to the Plex server, on every launch.
It looks like my install got corrupted somehow – the Kodi add-on settings (not the settings within the plug-in itself under the menu that starts with Switch User, but the Kodi screen that shows Main, Player, User Interface, Screensaver) were displaying a garbled screen with no text. I uninstalled and reinstalled the plug-in, and now the Kodi add-on settings are showing correctly again, and the plug-in no longer requires me to sign in every time. Let’s hope it stays that way this time.
Certain fixes will be backported to Kodi 19 repo as well.
Changelog

Enable dynamic backgrounds by default; set defaults for dynamic backgrounds: blur=0, opacity=40
Fix kiosk mode (autorun plex on kodi startup)
Fix music playback
Fix theme music playback; set default theme music volume to 50%
Edit: I might’ve overdone it with the theme music (might play at undesired times), please report back
@MagicSG1 Do the audio/subtitle icons look like little grey squares to you? Instead of saying “Language” and “Subtitles” there’s little grey squares instead? It’s the same for me. Hope it will be fixed soon.
@panni This is what I’m talking about. Please let me know if this is a Kodi issue or an addon issue. Thanks.
