PM4K / PlexMod for Kodi (18, 19, 20, 21, 22+)

0.8.0-beta4.3a: script.plexmod.zip (3.0 MB)

Changes:

  • i18n/de_DE: Add missing translations
  • Core/Backgrounds: Fix background resolution scaling; needs something higher than 100 in AddonSettings/Background image resolution scaling, and <fanartres>2160</fanartres> and <imageres>2160</imageres> (for 4K) in advancedsettings.xml

@jonathan.gorbutt seems like this was my fault and not Kodis.

Congratulations on all the implementations in coreelec recently and for the auto-update, soon you’ll buy a CE for yourself too hahaha, It’s a whole other level of experience compared to 1 year ago!

Hi folks! Loving PM4K so far, and just installed it on a CoreElec box (Uugos AM6B+). That said, I see a lot of tweaks for CE happening, and so I’d like to shift to the beta builds. I also understand that the ability to update PM4K was just added, but since I’m on what I thought was the most recent (stable) version, I don’t have that option. Could someone point me in the right direction on how to select beta builds and install? Thank you!

Hi, I am using Plextuary CPM skin, I’ve hotkeyed PlayerProcessInfo to various buttons, on remote and keyboard but just doesn’t seem to do anything?

Edit: It does work outside the PM4K app, am I doing something wrong?

For it to work inside PM4K player, you need to map the same button in both Global, and Fullscreen Video categories (assuming, ofc, that you use the Keymap Editor add-on). This did it for me.

A few pointers for you @avrignaud. Get yourself onto a beta by downloading the zip posted by panni a few posts prior to yours. Install it via install from zip.

When that’s done go into the settings you access from within the addon and go to the System section. You will find a section ā€œupdate sourceā€. Change it to beta.

If you haven’t done so, have a read of post 1 in this thread. There’s a ton of info about the addon in there.

Hope this helps

What @Korbus47 said. Since 0.8.0-beta you can also open ā€œStream infoā€ in the player settings of PM4K and then long press ENTER/OK (Context menu) to switch to the native PlayerProcessInfo.

0.8.0-beta4.4: script.plexmod.zip (3.0 MB)

Updating the updater to auto update the updater :exploding_head:

Changes:

  • Core/Updater: Reload update_checker.py if changes were detected (you should see fewer ā€œmajor changes detectedā€ messages after updating from now on)
  • Core/Service: Also reload service.py imports after reloading update_checker
  • Home/Updater: Fix short commence wait
  • Home/Updater: Make sure to exit the UI no matter what, when requested
  • Episodes: Try fixing rare select/focus issue when automatically changing seasons after watching the last episode
  • Seekdialog: Always show a little buffer on the buffer bar, even if it’s a lie (the buffer might be so small compared to the video size, that we actually have buffered something but it’d never show)
  • SeekDialog: Fix unmatched parentheses in template xml
  • Home: Only listen to updater events when active window

From this release onwards, it shouldn’t be necessary to restart Kodi after an update that updated the updater, as the updater can update itself

Damn, the updates just keep getting better and better!

A (hopefully) small feature request if I may:

  • ability to force combine On Deck items from each library to show on Home.

if a PMS server owner has unchecked libraries from appearing in ā€œContinue Watching / Homeā€, force combine them.

it avoids having to go to a specific library view to see the continue watching items.

Is the CoreELEC: Resume-fix wait for seek greyed out for anyone else? I can’t select / change it.

Any idea why I can’t change subtitle colour? I’ve set it to yellow in the kodi settings but they’re appearing as a dull grey in the Plex add on

Thank you very much! Just noticed the new script from panni, so I’ll grab that and install from zip! I’ve definitely read the first post a few times, but was struggling to figure out how to get updates (versus installing fresh). Thanks again!

You mean the slider to select the number of ms? Yeah I noticed this yesterday as well

Yes that one.

That one should become active once you activate the ā€œCoreELEC: Use alternate seekā€ option inside PM4Ks main settings.

Try toggling it once.

I don’t see that on 0.8.0-beta4.4… what option is it under? I’m looking at Player and it’s not there.

EDIT: found it (pm4k settings, not addon settings), turned it off and on and now i can select it again.

disabling and enabling the fix inside pm4k settings made the slider (add-on settings, outside pm4k) active again. Thanks!

Damn, OK. I’ll need to remove that constraint then, in the next version. Seems like when it’s set to default, it doesn’t work. Thanks for testing.

Anyone else not getting the auto updater? I keep getting version 0.8.0-beta4 instead of 0.8.0-beta4.1c. Where’s the option to change the update source to Beta? I can’t find it :man_shrugging:
