About your last question - i had in “Settings / System / Display” - Delay after change of refresh rate - set to 1 second
Will disable it and test again - is that settings what you’ve asked about?
LE : Tested & it seemed to have fixed the issue! Thanks for your input
Not knowing anything about the trailer preroll choice in your player by now, I can only forward the following post of mine as what would be nice to have regarding trailers from my own point of view. Not all can be done from a player software, but maybe it’s something that you want to dive into to see what can be done here…
Again, thank you for taking the time to implement trailer preroll into your player…
Is it possible to add an option to use the Kodi player OSD? The Kodi player OSD offers a more modern and appealing interface. At the moment, I can only access it by pressing “play,” then immediately pressing “back,” which opens the video in the Kodi player and supports background playback. Please consider reviewing the AF2 skin’s player OSD, as its design is excellent. Additionally, users can change the player OSD by selecting different skins.
Thank you for your continued efforts to update PM4K. Your dedication to keeping PM4K up to date is greatly appreciated by the community.
I also have the issue that it doesn’t take the resume point but only starts in the beginning. The error you had, with the flickering and keeping restarting the the show happened for me as well, and stopped when I stopped using alternate seek. Only been having the issue after update as well.
Yes, i’m using that myself. The offset manager.
As a sidenote : I’ve also disabled “Automatic seek-back” , Seed Back on Pause and Seek Back on start (which is a new feature, i believe?) - it made everything manageable but it still happens from time to time.
Edit: for now the fix seems to be to disable all seek events in audio offset manager. It interferes with our seek handling. I think I found why this is, though, and the change will be implemented in beta2.
Yep, because we’re now using seek back on start and the addon interferes.
Edit: well, technically it doesn’t, but we react to its seek attempts in a bad way. I’ll have Beta2 ready for you guys soon.
Edit: Beta2 will also improve the visual “glitch” of seek back on start by adding a blackout feature that hides the seek fix until it’s completed, that seems to work well enough right now, so release is imminent.
I’m trying to understand what you explained here…are you saying that you have the AF2 skin installed (along with PM4K) and are able to get to the AF2 player (in a roundabout way?)
You’re right , and this method doesn’t apply only to the AF2 skin; it works with all Kodi skins. The reason we prefer it is that it allows easier customization and provides quick access to the Kodi subtitles addon.
I’ve been asked by a moderator to make this request here:
I am about to purchase my 3rd Nvidia Shield but one of my major issues is not being able to stream multichannel audio-only formats on Plex/Android. I have seen some posts about using Kodi w/Plex connection add-on, and wonder if there are any that have implemented this and can comment on it, strictly from the Music Library standpoint.
My idea is to use Kodi as my music player since it also handles all my surround music formats; which are primarilly 24/48 and 24/96 5.1 FLAC files. Hoping there are Plex users out there that can advise.
Happy to entertain other approaches but the requirements are a Plex Windows server streaming via Nvidia Shield to three 5.1 surround rooms in my home. Right now, one of those rooms is my studio - which also runs Plex on Windows …and currently, this is the only location that I can play these surround formats.
So - is the approach, install Kodi on my Shield, install the PM4K plugin, then presumably point the plugin to my Plex server on my network - and select the Music library - and its good-to-go?
Does it scrape Plex Metadata and essentially recreate it within the Kodi Music Library?
