PMP CEC on Mojave?

Does anyone get it to work with a pulse8 adapter?
I never gotten PMP to work and after upgrade opht stopped working with CEC.

Just bought the new mac mini 2018 and the CEC adapter does not seem to work on Mojave which seems to be a know issue and it is resolved in the latest version. Plex needs to update their drivers.

yup, i guess no one from plex cares tho… no single response :frowning:

I’ve just compiled the latest version of libcec (4.0.3, Plex includes version 4.0.2). Tonight I will test it to see it if resolves the issue.

After replacing the new compiled libcec it now works again!

  1. Shutdown Plex
  2. Unzip attached file (libcec 4.0.3)
  3. Replace attached file at “/Applications/Plex Media Player.app/Contents/Frameworks”
  4. Start Plex
  5. Have fun and enjoy controlling Plex with your remote and Pulse Eight CEC again.

libcec.4.dylib.zip (289.8 KB)

Ooh, to bad its to late i have to try it tomorrow but big thanks

Did you already give it a go? Mine just stopped working today for an unknown reason.

nope, did not get time to try it to be honest.
maybe this weekend been much stuff at work

It turned Plex was updated which removed the file added by me. After adding the file again it worked…again.

@elan can you please add this file in the next version so this bug will be fixed.

After a reboot of de Mac Mini it does not seem again. It looks like that Plex is doing a check on the files and if they have been altered, it will exclude them.

Thanks for the heads up. I’ve filed an issue to update our libcec dependency: https://github.com/plexinc/plex-media-player/issues/800.
