PMS 1.15.0.659 no longer supports Ubuntu 14 04 Server?

At the moment I am running PMS 1.14.1.5488.
Went to check the latest beta and saw the version 1.15.0.659 only has downloads for Ubuntu 16.04 and up.
Search gave me nothing.
Any clue if 1.15.0.659 can be installed on Ubuntu 14.04 Server without crashing or loosing data?

Thank you.

It will not.

If I may augment here,

Ubuntu 14 has been held as supported longer than any other Linux distro.
The change was not made lightly.

Be advised, as published by Canonical

Current Version Code name End of Life date
Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS Xenial Xerus April 2021
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Xenial Xerus April 2021
Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS Trusty Tahr April 2019
Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS Trusty Tahr HWE August 2016

It is on the border and really is time to upgrade

Dear ChuckPA,

So will it be supported by Ubuntu 14.04?

Best regards.

Could try installing the libc6 from 16.04 in 14.04.

I wrote directions for Debian Wheezy users. You could adapt them for Ubuntu:

glibc will be the hurdle. Version 2.14.1 must be installed and recognized as the default. Without this, nothing will work.

As for proper SYSV init scripts, I am finishing this work now.
