I am seeing this issue as well. In my case I am using a linux PMS with Nvidia 1060 which doesn’t support AV1 decode. When I stream from the MAC Plex app it starts to play indirect due to a firewall issue, but it direct playing (as AV1 is supported in the mac Plex app), but I guess it switches to transcoding at some point (maybe the file exceeds the bandwidth restriction for indirect play) and once it transcodes it fails as it tries to use the Nvidia HW which doesn’t support AV1 transcoding
It seems to try NVDEC initially, then after a while (minutes) it’ll fallback to libdav1d. That fallback time though is unreasonable.
