My mistake and apologies. Using the procedure above to install it within the container, which installer do I need? The AMD64 Synology one?
Upgraded my docker containers, my CPU transcoder is detected as CoffeLake-S GT2. A quick test indicates HW transcoding with tone mapping working without a problem.

The AMD64 Ubuntu one on any 64-bit Intel docker container.
(The environment in the container is Ubuntu Linux). DSM is the external environment.

Well yes, subtitles were enabled and there are no problems when subtitles are disabled. But the same episode with subtitles in version 1.32.1.6999 works fine without buffer timeouts. Is this another problem that needs to be fixed then?

I will need the XML of the file and, if you can chop a sample for me for us to replicate with (200 MB works) that would be great.
Is the XML something I can generate somehow? I tried the tool MediaInfo to save the metadata but it saves a TXT file. Not sure if that would help you in any way.
It’s a MKV file. I tried Avidemux to safe a ~200 MB sample but the subtitles get lost when I save the file. Do you have a recommended way to create that sample for you?

Please forgive me not testing better yesterday
Gemini Lake HW transcoding - (HDR tone mapping OFF) works.
I am playing HDR content in Plex/web and, maybe it’s the video, but saturation looks very good
4K HDR hardware transcoding now working with 1.32.6.7515. Tested with HEVC and AV1 files.
Ubuntu Server 22.04 with Intel G7400(Alder Lake with UHD 710).

Are you using containers or direct-install-on-Synology? I’d like a clear bit of info on how to get a previous version on a container too.

To change a container’s image:
- Change the version and perform a ‘docker pull’ on that container
- For Plex,inc images, you can
dpkg -i filename.debfrom inside the container at thedocker execcommand line.
