With the value 2a02:8010:64b4::/48. I have no idea how make this bug apparent to the developers apart from posting it on here. If you’re a Plex employee, please forward this on to your dev team

Well known. Engineering is working on it and has been for some time.

It’s not just the server. The entire infrastructure must also support it.

Given the last plexpass build contained fixes relating to this, I thought it would be a good time to bring it up.

Respectfully, your infrastructure has little effect on local users, aside from authentication and server discovery, it isn’t really related- in those cases v4 will still suffice. This is only useful for local v6 clients that connect directly to the server. Given the choice I would cut off the Plex authentication servers completely. They’re just another point of failure and I’d be quite happy to maintain my own authentication backend.

Plex’s authentication method as it stands today is what it is.

This isn’t to say Engineering isn’t considering, or maybe even working on other means, it just means what it says “as it stands today”.

We have very little visibility into their work. They don’t even give us roadmaps.
