Thank you @anon18523487. Great to see a quick turn around on this one. Thank you @nibbles for testing to confirm publicly.
It may have solved your crash, but it looks like this build still fails to remove commercials for me. Had to roll back to 1.29 again.
There appears to be a problem on windows still on 1.30.0.6442 - but I only managed to reproduce it on the 32-bit build. The 64-bit build did manage to detect commercials.
Could you try again with upgrading to the 64-bit download
There is a setting that you can add to give us more diagnostics - these would be in the same directory where the recording ends up and with same filename but different filename extensions
To enable this diagnostic add this registry setting:
Add below
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Plex, Inc.\Plex Media Server
Reg Dword 32-bit value
with value 0 and named:
DvrComskipRemoveIntermediates
To disable - delete this entry DvrComskipRemoveIntermediates
after gathering the diagnostics - the files in the recording directory for the episode and the debug server logs zip
The remaining issue on the 32-bit windows builds has now been fixed and released in beta 1.30.0.6486-629d58034 - but still would recommend using the 64-bit build as it should give better performance
- (DVR) Commercial detection could fail on 32-bit Windows builds (#14002)
