I have a server Ive been running on a dedicated windows 10 machine for close to a year with no issues. My area had a bad storm supposed to roll in overnight earlier this week, so I shut down and unplugged my server out of an abundance of caution. Local and remote streaming were working fine prior to this.
We ended up getting skipped over by the weather, and when I turned the server back on, I couldn’t get it working again. It will work for anywhere between 5 minutes to an hour, then I lose all remote and local streaming. I cant even access the server settings if Im on the actual server. Everything else works fine on it. I can still remote in, use the internet, download things, etc.
If I close PMS from the system try, and start it back up, it will immediately go back to local and remote access working, but then drops out again after a few minutes. One weird thing I noticed was that if Im watching a show when it drops out, that episode will continue to load even though i cant access anything with the server.
Heres what Ive done so far: Ive backed up my database, uninstalled, and reinstalled.
I setup port forwarding, static IP address outside of the DHCP servers range. and disabled UPNP.
None of this seems to fix it. It works perfectly when i restart PMS, but is very short lived. Ive attached the debug logs from when I was watching a show, the server dropped out, and the show continued to load and play.
