Hi People,
I hope someone can help with this nightmare. I’d like to open my server for remote access, but it been a pain in the ***.
I have a FritzBox 7530, looks like I can’t change to bridge this modem/router. Is the only one in my network apart from the equipment from fibre provider. I already tried to open the port at the fritzbox, but I’m not sure if I’m doing in the right way.
the message that I receive from Plex is:
Your server is signed in to Plex but is not reachable from outside your network. Tip: It looks like your server may be connected to the internet through multiple routers or other network devices. Try connecting it directly to your primary device, or visit our support site for more information about troubleshooting this “Double-NAT” scenario.
To help I’m not a genius on networks and this stuff.
Can someone help-me?

My connection is:
Optical Network Terminal ->Wire-> FritzBox 7530 ->Wireless-> PC. My PMS is running on my normal PC.

The ONT connection to the FritzBox is that ethernet or DSL.
The PC that’s running PMS should not be connected via wireless… It creates too much traffic for it to be reliable. I would wire it to the FritzBox directly., Also set a static IP so it won’t change on a reboot.
Moving it to the FritzBox ethernet connection may solve your issue.
Not sure if the FritzBox uses the ethernet connections as a routing point.

I`m not sure if is ethernet or DSL, I have fibre and is connected by wire to LAN1 port to Fritzbox, that is it what I know.
I can`t connect my PC to Fritzbox by wire, is too far to do this type of connection.
I gonna try set a static IP for my PC.

that would be ethernet then if connected to LAN1 port, which is most likely.
The LAN ports may also be a router and if the Wireless is configured as a router then you have a double NAT. I am not familiar with the FritzBox so I don’t know what programming options you have. Unless you can bridge them or find a work around
If you could connect the PMS server to a LAN port just as a test, at least you would know the direction to move in.
I already have connected my PC by wire to fritzbox and didn’t work. My PC has a static IP.
When I set to connect to do remote access on Plex, I can have 1 or 2 seconds of open server, but then came the message that I have a Double-NAT. If I don’t set to have a manually specify public port I don’t receive the Double-NAT message.
I already tried several ways to have remote access, by wire or by wireless and nothing works.
