Everyday my server is stuck updating the metadata on my server. It always gets stuck on my movie library and is always different films. (Note it gets stuck over night even when no new movies or tv are added. The scheduled tasks are not set to update the metadata nightly but it does it anyway)
I have to restart the docker container (which is the official plex one) to get it to continue scanning the rest of the library. While it is stuck it is consuming approx 20% of CPU resources.
When restarting the container, it will quite often start up but then when you go into plex the home page is available but the libraries are not, so you then have to keep restarting the container until the libraries are available, (only then will it process the rest of the metadata).
It can also quite often get stuck processing the rest of metadata again which will require multiple restarts of the docker container as above.
This issue has been happening for at least the last 6 months, I update my docker container regularly with the latest PlexPass version.
Steps I have taken to try and resolve this, rebuild the database & reinstall the plex container
Logs can be supplied over PM when required
