PMS on Synology NAS Not Starting

I’m trying to start to a new PMS on my Synology NAS, and move away from using my my iMac as the PMS server. All media is currently stored on the NAS, and I’m looking to make a clean swap over to standalone NAS hosting files and PMS. I only ever direct code, so this will save my computer from being on 24/7.

I’ve installed the PMS package and keep getting an “ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED” when I try to open. I have adjusted my permissions to R/W as I’ve seen has fixed issues for others in the past.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I’ve uploaded the zip now, thanks for the help!

Embarassing… :man_facepalming:

I am able to access the web portal now–I guess having the computer connected to network via Ethernet and Wifi broke it. Thank you!

One more question–do the files for PMS need to be moved to the Plex\ directory, or is there any way to reference the home\ directory and leave my library where it currently is?

Thank you, looks like the video my friend shared with me left out 99% of the useful information. I appreciate your guidance!

If that is the one from YouTube, You will likely find where I commented about his procedure and technique. I further requested nobody put media then explained why.

I linked my Installation and Setup procedure.

It was seemingly well received but might be lost now in the subsequent posts

I will be changing how Plex is managed on Synology in the near future.

Oh, this was a private video his buddy did. Should have expected poor results based on his shoddy production…
