As of this week, my remote access has entirely vanished. There’s been no network changes, and I’ve validated the ports still show as open.
From accessing the server directly over HTTP over the internal network, everything works normally. However my various clients (iPhone, iPad) and app.plex.tv fail - app.plex.tv is unable to connect to “xxxxx PMS” securely
Unashamedly bump - Is there any further information I can supply to get this one looked at? It looks like the same issue reported in a number of other threads, but if not I’d like to know so I can troubleshoot further locally.
(That, and not being able to stream remotely is killing my usual flight habits!)
As a test in the interim, I decided to set Secure Connections to Required, and suddenly I started getting certificate errors; Not sure if this is causative but thought I’d add it on.
After setting it back to Preferred If I browse directly to the public IP from an external source, it connects on HTTP, but errors on HTTPS.
Hi - I’ve been reading some of the threads and saw some comments about restarting, so I thought I’d give it another go.
When you first start the server, Remote Access actually shows as green… briefly. Then goes back to unable to connect (Port shows as open, I can browse to the Plex server from external, so NAPT is working!) and app.plex fails again.
Hey @ChuckPa sorry to ping you to the thread, but I see you’ve been able to resolve some of these; Am I in the same boat or am I missing something I need to fix?
