hello dears
I have a large library of series and movies exceeding 80 terabytes, and all of them have been added to collections in plex
But I am facing a problem with the whole day, as the plex library stops responding in web interface and all platform plex media player the library stops working and I had to stop up and start plex media server until it works again. Do you guys have any solution to that problem and a facility for you logs

It looks like your database is extremely fragmented or possibly overloaded by the number of items indexed (?)
How many media files do you have approximately ?
( combination of movies, episodes, music , photos )

I can see you’re running an XPEnology configuration.
How much memory do you have installed in the system for PMS?
Also want to ask how good your ssh command line skills are?
thanks for help
i have 32000 movies 1950 tv series no music no photo
yes im using xpenlogy
Before that I was using unraid os With a hard ssd to save Plex files and database, and I also had the same problem with databases, that it had a delay
i have Memory 32GB and dual CPU
Use ssh command line well
I’m concerned your DB has gotten so large the single-threaded DB operations can’t complete it time and things get backed up.
I recommend you give this a shot first.
It does a level of DB optimization which PMS cannot while it’s running.
Also, if there are dead records in your database, it will remove them too.
Run it as ‘sudo’ (root user) so it has permission to read/write the DBs.
Instructions are in the README.md
Ask if you have questions
Let’s see how it does after this.
Please do realize just how much media you have with how problematic it will be on your CPUs (the per-core speed is not very high)
Thank you very much for your help
I have followed the enclosed instructions accurately
Enter command # -or- command name (4 char min) : auto
Automatic Check,Repair,Index started.
Checking the PMS databases
Check complete. PMS main database is OK.
Check complete. PMS blobs database is OK.
Exporting current databases using timestamp: 2023-06-17_16.28.52
Exporting Main DB
Exporting Blobs DB
Successfully exported the main and blobs databases. Proceeding to import into new databases.
Importing Main DB.
Importing Blobs DB.
Successfully imported databases.
Verifying databases integrity after importing.
Verification complete. PMS main database is OK.
Verification complete. PMS blobs database is OK.
Saving current databases with '-BACKUP-2023-06-17_16.28.52'
Making repaired databases active
Repair complete. Please check your library settings and contents for completeness.
Recommend: Scan Files and Refresh all metadata for each library section.
Backing up of databases
Backup current databases with '-BACKUP-2023-06-17_16.47.42' timestamp.
Reindexing main database
Reindexing main database successful.
Reindexing blobs database
Reindexing blobs database successful.
Reindex complete.
Automatic Check, Repair/optimize, & Index successful.
And run Plex again after completing all the steps
I will follow it up today
To note, has the problem been resolved or is it still there?
Thank you
If you look at “Plex Media Server.log” and do not see “SLOW QUERY”
then there is a good chance the problem has been resolved.
My little tool cannot definitively say it has fixed this type of problem.
Unfortunately, the problem of SLOW QUERY appears from time to time after executing the script as well

Do you suggest any other solutions to solve my problem?
thanks
In total, how many media files do you have ?
(1950 tv series can get very large . 1950 * 4 seasons * 24 / season = 187,200 files)
I’m afraid you might be running out of CPU power (per core) to get the job done.
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+Opteron+4334&id=2733
3900 passmarks / 6 cores per CPU package = 650 passmarks per core.
That’s below the 700 passmark minimum to run PMS.
Now add a large database and things are going to start stalling out.
It’s a 2012 CPU
I have installed server plex on another machine
I also had the same problem
slowquery
CPU: Dual CPU E5-2680 V4
Ram: 64GB
