PMS to have multi gpu support

I have a gaming pc/workstation with an Nvidia RTx 2060 for my primary card and a P2000 as a secondary. It would be nice if there was an option in PMS to select which gpu to use for transcoding.

I agree this would be a great feature to implement.

Currently I have a 7700k with AMD vega. Plex uses Vega which is my primary GPU to transcode when I would rather it use the iGPU.

There is a switch in ffmpeg to specify which device to use for hardware accel, it should be possible to implement an option to choose which gpu to use in plex

I agree with above guys. Not everyone is running Docker, UnRaid servers. Being able to select a GPU or having multi-GPU support would be great

Maybe someday… Currently, I have to keep my p2000 as a primary display, then switch over to my rtx card as the primary when I want to game. It is very annoying. If my system is transcoding a video and then I switch displays transcoding will continue on the p2000. If I switch, then someone starts a movie it’ll use the RTX card since that is the primary display at the time transcoding started; and RIP FPS’
