Podcast would be awesome…
Does anyone know if there is development on this at all? Auto resume at the minimum for audio files is badly needed for audio books and podcast media. When Plex added iTunes library channel support, I thought maybe that was a fix, but the client crashes on all devices when I try to load the podcast library. For now, I just point a library at my iTunes podcast directory and scrub around until I find where I left off. -It’s frustrating on a 3+ hour Dan Carlin Hardcore History podcast.
Would love to have podcast integration. As far as audio goes o spend a large chunk of my listening time on podcats and as with all my media I would prefer if I could have it all handled by plex.

I’d use this all the time. Right now I’m using Overcast, which is great… but I’d like to condense into just Plex.

I love PocketCasts, so replicating that would put me all in.
It appears that very few heavy podcast users listen/watch at normal speeds, so, a Plex podcast feature might not get much actual usage until a variable playback speeds feature is implemented, as requested here:

I’ll toss in my support for this as a feature. Would be quite awesome. I love my current podcast app, but wouldn’t mind seeing it all live in Plex.
Support for subscribing to podcasts with local caching would be an excellent addition to the core Plex feature set. It would help me consolidate all media consumption to one client across all platforms, which I believe is one of Plex’s primary goals in the first place.

I really miss Podcast on Plex… i’ve been using a W10 App (GroovePro) and downloading my Podscasts to my QNAP (monitored by Plex) as a workaround.
