Portrait mode videos play in landscape mode

LG OLED C2, Nvidia Shield TV Pro 2019

Any video I took with my iPhone in portrait mode is playing in landscape mode and not rotating the video. The built in LG Plex app doesn’t do this, just on the Shield. Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it?
