Seems like this has been an issue for a long time and topics/posts keep getting locked because they eventually time out without replies/comments. We really need a fix for this and it is kind of shocking to be honest. I just started using Plex Media Server today on my Unraid setup. Was fairly impressed until I downloaded the Plex Android TV app from the Google Play store on my Sony Bravia tv and found out all our videos shot in portrait mode play sideways in landscape. Further, any attempts to correct within playback settings 1) are not a real fix as you have to lower quality to 720p and even then the way it stretches the video distorts the image and 2) is only temporary (you would have to do this each time for each video). We really need Plex to step up to the plate and create an actual solution to this.
