We are currently living 5 people in our house, 3 of us running pled media server, one of which is the living room. We all use that one to watch content from all of the servers. No now the sections look like this:
Now, I would love to be able to combine the sections, to show all of the tv shows from different media servers, and same for movies. This would reduce the clutter.
Since you're all on the same local network, you could just share each respective "tv folder" on the network. Then on that server, add those network folders to the TV section. And do the same for the movies.
Yes, but some of these computers are student-laptops so they tend to be leaving the house from time to time. So whenever the servers are gone, all the content from those servers would still show up with everything else, but ofcourse be unplayable. Or atleast a rescan of the library is needed. That would mean rescanning the library everytime they leave/arrive. Plex already knows that if their server is at home.

You don't have to rescan every time they leave. If you select one of those shows, it will just say that it can't be found. I suspect that you have shows 1-4, another has shows 5-9, and someone else has shows 10-15 (the numbers are arbitrary).
So here's the next suggestion, but it will cost money:
NAS. Just set up a NAS and put a copy of everybody's stuff on that. You can put the only copies on it, or keep a copy on the laptops and on the NAS. But have the living room server use the NAS only.
The benefit of each person keeping their own plus a copy on the NAS is that their stuff will still be local wherever they take their computer.
Given what you've said so far, I'd go that route.
A similar option would be for all of you guys to either each use cloud space, or chip in pay for enough space to put it all in one space. But since a section can be pointed at multiple content sources, you wouldn't have to combine everything to get it to show up in the same section.
Again, I'd just build a NAS box in that situation. I don't know what all you use the box that has the PMS in the living room for, but you may be able to move some of those hard drives over to the NAS to save money. But if not, storage is relatively cheap.
Well, we already have a NAS. But we don’t want to copy everything to the Nas. How much work would it be to merge sections just when showing them? Enable another viewtype which lists section per type instead of every section? It is already cluttered by cloud sections.
