Poster Format 2:3 instead of 4:3

I have a library whose videos have 4:3 landscape posters (poster.jpg) – every video has a poster in that format, yet the player app displays them all in 2:3 portrait instead – cropping off the sides, which looks terrible.

The content is properly displayed in the web player (4:3 landscape), but not on AppleTV. Is there a setting I can change to make it display correctly on AppleTV?

Sounds like you’re using an “Other Video” type library. Those are showing thumbs instead of posters by default (or if a poster is set, they’re showing it in landscape format).

That’s actually what I want. The poster.jpg files are all landscape format (since they’re just stills from the video), not portrait.
