Did it again this weekend. Bunch of posters and backgrounds got reset.
I can always tell because the posters get set to those crappy licensed ones with extra copy (actor’s names, credit info, tag lines, etc) including ones I “fixed” the last time this happened. Which already included ones I manually selected and according to Plex employees and reps will “be locked” and “won’t change” if that step is performed.
So the employee and reps that say posters reseting are user error and dismiss claims that Plex is causing this to happen (likely to meet obligations with license holders for some reason) need to stop saying that, admit Plex will change your local posters unless you provide your own artwork manually, and provide an actual lock feature (and then it might not work because TV backgrounds are still broken even if you use your own local artwork).
