Power Outage - Local Linux Server hosting my Plex not connecting

Server Version#:1.41.8.9834-071366d65.x86_64.rpm
Player Version#: 4.147.1

When I start the Linux Server everything comes up. The status of the plex service states:

systemctl status plexmediaserver.service
● plexmediaserver.service - Plex Media Server
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/plexmediaserver.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)

Hint: Some lines were ellipsized, use -l to show in full.

However when I bring up the server frontend… I get the "XXXXXserver.wilson.home is currently unavailable and each reconnect fails. I remember reading something a few years back that this could be related to a back preferences.xml find but I am unsure so I will not tray that.

Any direction would be great!

Stop Plex

Look at the file Preferences.xml

Make certain it’s not zero-length and make certain you see your Username and Email – AND – Token is not "" (null)

It is 0 length and there is nothing in the file.

Can this be salvaged? I have added a BUNCH of libraries and movies since the last copy I have

NEVER MIND! I restored my late copy of my Preferences.xml and it is back online. Thank you for seeing that for me!

That works :+1:

I was writing instructions for you
