is it feasible?
Hey guys, I was goofing around with my new plex 0.9.5 and realized that it would be an awesome system to have in the meeting room at the office. I envision it as having a mac mini hidden behind the LED screen on the wall and controlling everything with the apple remote... however I don't even want to present it as an option to the boss until I know how feasible it would be to develop a plugin to launch ppt/pptx/pps presentations easily and then control them with the remote. I've never written a plex plug-in before but I have experience programming in other languages and *should* be able to do it, I just wanted to know if its something I should invest time in or forget it completely.
As I see it, this should be a plug-in that lists the contents of a folder and upon selecting a file launches it with whatever app the OS has as default for the filetype. I haven't really thought through on how to get back to plex after the presentation is over, so I would like to hear some ideas on that.
