Run Application from within Plex

Hi everyone. I hope I have put this in the right place, if not please move it to the right location, thanks.



OK, so here is what I want to do, I have a couple of Apple scripts which I have written to connect to VPNs and I want to be able to run them from within Plex. Is it possible to write a plug-in that will simply allow another application to be launched without exiting Plex?
