This would be a very smal change, which would though bring a lot: It is possible at several locations in the preferences to define the process priority of Plex’s subtasks.
Would it be possible to start the Plex Commercial Skipper with the priority defined in these preferences, ideally including “ionice”?
The same thing for hardware acceleration: I checked that feature, Plex recognizes it during installation and updates and it works, because I use it heavily with my own ffmpeg based Plex postprocessing scripts, but Plex Server never seems to use hardware acceleration, though I selected it in the preferences.
