Have you thought about adding something like a “pseudo TV” mode for personal libraries?

We have definitely thought about it, but it isn’t a current target. There is a good Feature Suggestion post on this that I suggest you read through. Additionally as a bit of an experiment I jumped into that thread last month and asked for suggestions on what expectations people would have for such a feature and provided some more thoughts here. It would be great to see your thoughts on this one there as well!
