Will nested collections ever come to Plex?

Thanks for the thoughtful context around the question. This is a pain I’ve felt myself, and you’re not entirely wrong when you wonder if this is a limitation with how collections were first implemented many years ago, and how the PMS infrastructure evolved over time.
The short answer is that we currently have no plans to support nesting collections. However, there is work planned to restructure how collections and playlists work in PMS that would allow more flexibility into what types of data are included, which is an area we would like to grow at some point.
