Problems with DLNA-Server

Server Version: 1.40.5.8854
Player Version: -

The Plex DLNA Server seems not to chatty about what it’s Problems are, which makes it quite hard to fix. There are already multiple Posts in this Forum showing the DLNA-Server unable to Start with Code -22105, however i can’t find any documentation anywhere on what that code actually means and those posts are all dead.

My DLNA-Server used to work previously, it seems to have stopped after some update, which i can’t really pinpoint since I did not notice right away. There is no other DLNA Server Running on the Device and no Ports are occupied etc, mDNS is working just fine. My Plex Server is running in Docker.

I’ve tried running other DLNA Servers in Docker just for testing if they work (e.g. MiniDLNA), and they all started without Problems. I also tried running Plex without Docker and the DLNA Server still fails to start. Changing the network mode from host to bridge made it start, but then it can’t be discovered even with open ports.

Some Information as to what that (and possibly other) error codes actually mean would be very much appreciated, as well as any ideas on what could help trying to get this running again.

Randomly found a Solution for my Issue, so if anyone has the same issue try this:

sysctl net.ipv4.igmp_max_memberships

it returned 20 for me. I increased it to 50 by doing this:

sudo sysctl -w net.ipv4.igmp_max_memberships=50

Restarted Plex and DLNA just worked again. Now persist it by putting net.ipv4.igmp_max_memberships=50 into a file like this:

sudo nano /etc/sysctl.d/99-net-ipv4-igmp-max-memberships.conf

Could this also be why DLNA from macOS Plex Media Server to a Yamaha AVR with DLNA is not working for ALAC files (both are ALAC compatible)?
Where do I past in this line of text?

These commands are network related. I don’t think they will resolve file type related problems. If your DLNA Server starts, I don’t think this will help you on in any way.
