Hi
I have the problem that plex couldn’t scrap my TV series because I use this structure:
720p/A/Arrow/Staffel 1/Arrow S01E01 - blabla.
When I add the folder A its work perfect. But when I add 720p plex means that the serie name are A.
Is there any solution without adding each letter (3 times because 3 resolutions)?
No, you must adhere to the recommended folder structure for TV shows:
TV Show Title / Season n / TV Show Title - sxxeyy.ext
There must not be an additional folder level in there. So you have no choice of either adding all your ‘letter folders’ or thinking up a different ordering structure.
How many different tv shows do you have?
Is the additonal ‘letter’ folder really necessary?
Nowadays computers are really good at finding stuff quickly, I think the ‘letter’ folder is only there for a human.
Maybe you could reduce the number of folder by doing ‘A to F’, ‘G to M’ etc.
My structure is indispensable because I have more than 1000 series and they are on a cloud who crashed when all series are in the same folder
So its not for human its for the cloud.
But I can live with this smal issue.
But I couldn’t understand why the seriename should be before the S…E… in the filename when plex just fetch the name from the top folder.

You could theoretically leave that off, but then you must make doubvle sure that the top folder has the exact show title as it is used on TheTVDB.
And we all experienced accidents where we somehow managed to move files out of their folders. Then you’d have a very hard time to sort out the mess… ![]()
