Can't get a folder to show on plex

Hi,

Not sure why I can’t get this to work as I’ve been using plex for a while so I’m not a beginner by any means, I have a very old TV series collection called “V” TV.db link here
https://www.thetvdb.com/series/v/seasons/all

I’m not sure how I should name the folder as its only a single letter for the title of the TV series but I have also tried naming it other ways and still can not get it to show

The 3 series are named on the dvds as
V the original mini series
V the final battle
V the complete series

if anyone can please help me out as to how i should name these because i’m not having any joy at the moment, i just can’t understand why even in folder view it won’t show.

Thanks
Tony

The mini series and the final battle are all specials and should go in a Season 0 folder, and the rest should go in standard season folders.

Plex originally matched to the 2009 version. I did a “Fix Match,” picked the original, and it pulled in the correct information.

For series that have more that one series of the same name it is highly recommended that you include the year originally released in the folder name:
V (1984)
V (2009)
The naming of the folder is the most important part of naming TV series for Plex.

Thank you very much for that I will try again and let you know how I get on, never heard of naming it as season 00 before but I know from now on.

I always include the year even on films, just a habit I’ve got into.

You can name the folder Season 00 or Specials. See https://support.plex.tv/articles/200220707-naming-tv-show-specials/.

Plex did match against TVDB and pull the correct artwork. I don’t really have V in my library. I just took another TV show and renamed the files. If Plex had pulled the pictures from the video files, you would be looking at b&w images from Gilligan’s Island.
