I have a 2.35:1 aspect ratio screen, and an anamorphic lens to fit 2.35:1 content to that size. I just discovered the Plex webhooks, and I’d like to hack one up for myself to trigger the lens on/off. However, I’m unsure how to read the aspect ratio of the content being played. Plex reports something in the video file’s info. Is this piece of metadata available through the Plex web API? I don’t see anything obvious there. I also run Tautulli (formerly Plexpy) and that app has some nice clean APIs but I didn’t see anything obvious there, either.
