PS4 app cannot connect to Plex server and can’t ‘connect to device’ from Android app.
Version Plex app on PS4: 2.4.13
Version Plex app on Android: 4.5.0.372
Plex server: 0.9.12.4.1192-9a47d21
I have read the support help pages and tried why I could do, such as sign out and sign. but thr PS4 can’t connect to my Plex server after it accepted the PIN.
Current setup:
While I am on vacation in a another country, want to have for my kids show cartoons on the PS4 App.
Server is located network wired at my house, UPNP disabled and configured port forward.
From my Android App, I am able to connect to my Plex server and watch movies. My Android (Note4) and PS4 is on the same local WiFi network. Although I am able to connect to my Plex server when using the Internet Browser on my PS4! On the PS4 after entering the PIN, it’s is accepted, on my Plex server under Devices I can see that PS4 was connected. But the PS4 Plex App reports ‘No mediaserver found’.
Another issues (I paid for the Plex pass and also have the paid Android version, not sure if I have to pay 2 times?), I can’t connect or stream directly from my Android to the PS4 app, my Android just don’t see the Playstation. I choose from my Android App ‘Connect to Device’, but it reports ‘No Players Found’. While my PS4 Plex App is running!
Note: I am also using the Sony Playstation App on my Android, from there I am able to control my Playstation 4!!!
Plex app seems to be bugged to me.
