I have a family and we only have ps3 and ps4's. In the kids room I would like to have the ability for them to watch movies and TV through plex but allow them to view a kids catalog. The restrictions for users feature allows this. Sadly this is not implemented in the app to automatically sign into a sub account on a system. I reached out to customer support about it and they said there were no plans to implement this, the best way to get this implemented is to get the community behind it. So here I am. If you want this feature let plex know!
Plex Home is the name of the feature you're describing.
I have the same need at home for my little ones. Multiple people have requested it. I'd like to believe they're working on implementing Plex Home to the PS app at some point!

They're a small team, I don't think they've announced an ETA.
This is a feature that lots of Plex users that I know with PS4's would love to see. I paid for the lifetime Plex Pass because I really like the software but particularly so I could use the Plex Home user switching features. I was quite disappointed when I found out this was not implemented in the PS4 app.
Plex is an awesome media server, so thank you to the developers so far. BUT I'm really looking forwards to this feature being added. It will be like the icing on the cake.

I too need this feature to restrict users in my home on my PS3. It is the only reason I paid for Plex in the first place.
All the other paid features I have no need for.
