Thanks for your suggestion. There’s already an existing thread discussing an option to add a STRM file to your library that can point to media available on a specific URL/path (instead of downloading it). I suppose with such a feature you could also point your library to the public domain videos on archive.org (but I suppose they have a wider use case in mind).
