One thing that I really love Plex for is the fact that it allows me to continue buying music albums without DRM and loading them directly onto my server. However, a lot of the services I love that provide this, like Bandcamp, seem to be slowly dying out. This worries me as I want to continue to have the option to own my media.
It would be incredible if Plex could offer integration with Bandcamp for this. The ability to purchase an album through the Plex app and have it immediately download to my server would be incredible and would make it much easier for people to actually support the artists they enjoy
Oh, I see, I couldn’t find it when I searched. I’m not sure I fully understand from the link why it was rejected? It seems like something both Plex and Bandcamp as businesses could benefit from. That link posted looks like it’s just referencing the fact that plugins were sunsetted, but it doesn’t need to be a plugin.
