I’ve been seriously considering a Synology DS918+, but have just found this QNAP unit. It gets generally good reviews and seems to slightly out perform the 918.
Anyone had any experience with it?
Literally BRAND new piece of HW.
Assuming you have Plex Pass, it will definitely outperform the Synology 918+ due to much newer version intel cpu w/more advanced integrated GPU, HDMI 2.0 support vs 1.4 etc.

Comparable qnap to the 918+ family would be like the TS-253Be or TS-453Be models. They all use the same CPU/GPU.
