Quality labels for albums/tracks

Hi!

I have some albums both in 44.1/16 imported from CD and high res bought online. In Plexamp it’s not possible to differentiate between the two. Nothing gives it away until playback has started.

See the album The 2nd Law in this screenshot for an example. I have a couple of others too.

I must say that I am very impressed with Plexamp so far. With a bit more development it could possibly replace Roon for many.

I see your point; unfortunately we don’t have quality settings at that level until we load the album (which is why we show it on the album page).

I see.

You can’t check this while scanning library files like some other solutions do?

Might not make the final cut, but we’ve been playing with it a bit.

Looks good! Hope it makes it in the end. Although it it does I’d like sample rate/bit depth to be visible too since all my music is in FLAC and that’s the difference.

I’d love to see this too. In addition, would it be possible to have that kind of data available to be used in smart playlists? Eg allow only lossless in the playlist

That would do just fine!

However if you were to do this, I would absolutely love that rolled out to other apps such as the Android Mobile and PMP, as they are what I primarily use when on the go / at home.

But I do appreciate you have to start somewhere.

Until then, if I was to keep multiple copies of the same album, I would simply rename them appropriately.

Now in v3.1 (enable it in settings).
